Sandcastle Hideaway - the perfect getaway for couples and families. 1.5 blocks to the beach, this remodeled, first floor, 2 bed-2 bath condo in south Cannon Beach is a quiet, relaxing spot 2 miles from downtown. It includes a 1-car garage equipped with a FREE High Speed EV universal charger and a heated community saltwater pool. It is next door to Fresh Foods Market and has plenty of amenities for kids. Good to know
This condo is bright and cozy. The floors, cabinetry and quartz counter-tops are all new. The kitchen is beautiful and fully stocked (including kids’ dishes). Bar stools and a dining room table provide lots of seating. The kitchen and living room have sliding doors that walk out to a fenced deck with a barbecue and table. You can cross the street off the back deck to walk the two blocks to the beach. Environmentally sensitive? You’ll appreciate that our furnace is equipped with an air scrubber and UV light. Both bedrooms have black-out curtains and new beds. There is a large, flat-screen smart TV in the master bedroom. The premium twin-size rollaway bed comfortably fits an adult as well as a child and can be placed in the living room or master bedroom. Bedrooms: Master – King bed with en suite bathroom with combined bathtub/shower; Guest – queen bed, bathroom across the hall (large shower). There is also a single, roll-away bed that will fit in the master bedroom or living room (see pictures). Living Space: New lather L-shaped couch, fireplace and hearth, and a large, flat-screen smart TV. There are kids’ books, games and puzzles. Feel free to leave books or puzzles that you don’t wish to keep for the next guest. Deck: It’s a lovely place to enjoy barbecues and sit at the table with coffee or afternoon beverages. The deck is fenced with a gate if you have little children. There’s a nice little grassy area off of the deck and beyond that, a short set of stairs to cross the street to head to the beach 2 blocks away - or go next-door to get groceries or coffee and a breakfast sandwich at Fresh Foods, or stroll to Sea Level Bakery, Warren House Pub, Surfcrest Market and Pizza or Mo’s across the street. UPDATE -Recently added new trex decking. The condo is also within walking distance of Haystack Rock and Tolovana State Park. *It’s a bit too far for some little kids without bikes or a wagon – there’s free parking downtown with closer access. Garage: There are 2 boogie boards, 5 backpack beach chairs and sand toys for your enjoyment! There is also FREE ChargePoint 40 Amp Electric Vehicle Charging Station with NEMA 20-ft Cable for your electric car. Amenities: 50 amp EV charger, 5 Beach towels, 2 boogie boards, 5 beach chairs, umbrellas, kids’ dishes, kids’ books, games, puzzles, blow dryers, iron/ironing board, washer/dryer, stove and oven, microwave, table, 4 bar stools, pack and play, kettle, Keurig and Cuisinart drip coffee makers, blender, twin rollaway bed.
House Rules
*Please read in full. Thanks in advance for acknowledging them! 1) Maximum 5 guests unless we've given written permission to have more than that; the cost for additional guests is at our discretion. 2) Towels: There are beach towels for the pool and beach. Don't take bath towels out of the condo; $15 per towel will be charged for missing towels. Please use provided black wash cloths for make-up removal. 3) Don't leave wet towels or swimsuits on the floor. You will be charged for the repair (labor and materials) of any water damage to the floor or baseboards resulting from doing so. 4) Beach chairs, deck chairs, boogie boards, beach toys, umbrellas, games: Keep track of amenities; we'll need to charge you for the replacement of any missing items 5) Local residents must contact us before booking 6) Guest acknowledges that quiet hours are before 7:00 am and after 10:00 pm. Be respectful of neighboring units. We reserve the right to evict you if you fail to abide by quiet hours 7) No parties or events allowed. No additional over-night guests. $100 per guest per day for any unreserved guests plus possible eviction. 8) Guest must provide us with a valid working phone number 9) NO SMOKING OR USE OF FIRE permitted in the rental; guest acknowledges that no "smoking"includes the use of vape pens, marijuana. "Use of fire" includes the lighting of candles, incense, or sage. There will be a $300 charge per day per violation. 10) Late check-out fee of $50 (if not authorized) applies for check-outs after 11:00 am. We're sorry, but we have to pay our cleaning service based on the agreed-upon checkout time; if they are unable to clean we still have to pay them. 11) We will place a small deposit hold on your credit card the day before your arrival to cover any accidental property damage that may occur, and it will be released after your check out. 12). No pets allowed; A $500 violation fee will be assessed per pet plus possible eviction. 13). Excessively dirty units will incur an additional cleaning fee and will be evidenced with photos. 14). For your security and protection, this property is equipped with an exterior camera that actively records video and audio at the front door. **TAMPERING WITH THE CAMERAS WILL INCUR A $1,000 FINE AND EVICTION. If the failure to follow any of the above rules forces us to refund or discount an upcoming guest, you will be liable for lost income from the bookings as well as any applicable costs resulting from the violation(s).
Other Details to Note
A high speed ChargePoint EV Charger plug is located in the one car garage for your convenience. Free charging is via a universal J1772 connector for all non-Tesla EVs. If you have a Tesla, you will need to bring your own adapter. The wood-burning fireplace is not available for use due to odor and safety/liability concerns; please do not tamper with the lock (gas service is not currently available at this property). There's free cable through a Spectrum App on each of the two smart T.V.s There is a portable Weber electric grill for use on a dedicated grill table on the deck. COFFEE MAKERS: We have a keurig and a Cuisinart drip machine with a built-in filter No air conditioning. We've found it's not needed, even in hot months because: 1) the front door is equipped with a storm door, 2) there are 2 sliders off of the living room and kitchen, and 3) there are 3 ceiling fans: one in the living room and one in each of the two bedrooms. The air flow is such that it doesn't seem to ever get too hot.

The Sand Castle Condos are within walking distance of the beach, magnificent Haystack Rock, and Tolovana State Park. You will be able to stroll to Sea Level Bakery, Warren House Pub, Fresh Foods and Surfcrest Market and Pizza.
Guest Access
Guest has access to entire property - one flight of stairs to access this first floor unit (no access from within the garage). The one-car garage is available for use with a free electric car charger (see "other details"). There is also a free parking lot right outside the condo. The indoor pool-house is across the parking lot from the condo. Due to odor, safety and liability concerns, the wood-burning fireplace is not usable and is locked.
